Parents on Pointe was incorporated in 2006 as a non-profit organization to support the Royal Academy of Dance program in Flagstaff, Arizona.

The Royal Academy of Dance program in Flagstaff is housed in the Dance Division of the Preparatory School for the Performing Arts at Northern Arizona University. Although NAU provides fiscal oversight, the Royal Academy of Dance program receives no funding from the university. The program supports itself through tuition and outside donations.

Parents on Pointe works closely with Andrew Needhammer, the coordinator of the Dance Division at the Prep School, to fund scholarships, to plan the summer dance program and master classes, and to provide support for the spring recital.

All parents of dancers enrolled in the RAD program are welcome to become members of Parents on Pointe.
